GROWTH. Some questions pertaining to it. What is it? Who need do it? How is it done or come about?

As it is in the physical begotten human life cycle: zygot to embryo to fetus to infant to toddler to adolescent to adult (maturity), growth must occur. So it is also, in the spiritually begotten life cycle, in that, growth must occur.

Jesus Christ the Everlasting Father commands[Mathew 5:48] that his children be perfect. The word "be" used here, translated means "become". So the command is that his children become perfect. The word "perfect" used here, translated means "mature"; or "of full age"; if you will allow....Full or Fully Grown[see Strongs Exhaustive Concordance (perfect = #5046; be = #2071) for exegesis]. The children of God are  expected to spiritually "grow up" into "all things" pertaining to HIM - JESUS CHRIST - THE EVERLASTING FATHER; after having been born again (of the spirit) or ressurected to spiritual life in him[Ephesians 4:15; 12-16].

Refering to those that have been born again, in Ephesians 2:21; 19-22 it is written: As fellow citizens, we should be growing unto a Holy Temple in the Lord.

1 Peter 2:2 tells what to do in order to grow spiritually: Desire spiritual nourishment, which is the Word Of God. Just as human newborn babies desire physical nourishment, milk.

2 Peter 3:18 tells what to grow in, and why to endeavor to grow in it: The Grace and the Knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; that the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ receive Glory. And, in Faith and Love, that others may Glory[2 Thessalonians 1:3-4. Jesus the Christ taught, that the Kingdom Of God is involved in the process of growth[Mathew 18:32] continually. And, also, that the citizens of the Kingdom Of God must be growing up into all things pertaining to him.
