The Doctrine Of The Laying On Of Hands. Some questions that arise are:What is it? Is it really necessary? When should it be done? Who should be having it done unto them? Who should administer it?

We begin with a scripture reference: Acts 8:12-19. These scriptures clearly establish that it is necessary for the new believer in Christ, or the new born Christian, to do more than just be baptised, if they want to be effective in the living of their new life in Christ Jesus.

The Laying On Of Hands, accompanied by Prayer For The Gift Of The HOLY SPIRIT to come into and unto the newborn christian disciple is paramount for victorious christian living from the point of baptism forward [1 Timothy 4:14]. For this reason many christian believers are sickly and weak, and have fallen asleep [1 Corinthians 11:30]; spiritually and in some cases physically as well. The foundation that supports POWER in the christian's life is comprised of, by, and through the laying on of hands [Hebrews 6:1-2].

The Gift of the HOLY SPIRIT should be prayed for to be received upon, and within, the confessed and baptised, believers of Christ Jesus immediately after baptism, if at all possible.
This can be liken to them being spiritually healed, commissioned, and empowered to In Faith become a conduit of Jesus Christ to not only spiritually heal; but also physically heal those that exhibit Faith in his ability to do so for them [Mathew 9:18 and Mark 5:23-34].

All believers, all Children Of God In Christ Jesus, as the Spirit Of Christ within them, leads them, should be engaged in the practice of The Laying On Of Hands[Mark 16:17-18]. All who have heard the Word Of God, and believed the Word Of God, and have believed on the name of Jesus Christ, and have been baptised in the name of Jesus Christ, should have hands laid upon them[Acts 8:14-19].
